The cast for this play is quite small with nine lead actors and eight understudies. All the actors seem excited about this play, especially Asher Demera who said, “I’m excited to be in yet another production with the Fresno High Drama Club because it’s when all my friends are in the same place, and I get to be around the people I’m closest to every day. I’ve met most of my friends through this club and it continues to get me closer to new people.”
Homecoming Dance Game On
by Ashton Liberty
The Homecoming Dance was held on September 28 to help boost school spirits for the upcoming game. This year, the Homecoming Dance was held the week before the Fresno High actual Homecoming football game. The 2024-25 theme was “Game on, Warriors,” based off various video games online. The dance was set up and prepared by the Class of 2025 and 2026. Homecoming Dance was held in the gym, unlike a few years prior where it was held in Warrior Park.
The dance was complimented by a lot of students, the students preferring the ability to be inside and outside. There were also various food and drinks trucks. They had things like tacos, horchata, soda, other fruity drinks, and some other snacks like chips. By the food trucks there was a gaming trailer where you could play different games inside. The DJ was also loved by the students because of the music they played. Not only was the setup admired, but the overall atmosphere was positive for a change. “The Dance was awesome this time. They gave us cool glasses,” shared Genavieve Phelps.
Regional Night
by Arwen Cooper
Regional night is a themed football game for FUSD elementary and middle schools to get involved and walk the track showing their Warrior pride. Participating schools include Fremont, Delmar, Hamilton, Cooper, Fort Miller and more! Involved students have the unique opportunity to cheer alongside the varsity cheerleaders in front of the enthusiastic student section. This night gives cheerleaders the opportunity to work with the younger cheerleaders and encourage them on their cheerleading journey.
Varsity cheerleader Isabella Haro noted, “Regional Night is an enjoyable experience, particularly for younger students who get to immerse themselves in a high school football atmosphere.”
