Warrior Marching Band Fashion Show
by Hugo Meza
On February 28, the Fresno High Marching Band held their yearly Fashion Show in Royce Hall from 6-7pm.
They showcased four sets; the first set was athletic wear, the second set was casual wear, the third set was semi-formal wear, and the fourth set was formal wear. The models showcasing the clothes were all students and a part of the Fresno High Marching Band.
One of the models, Janitzio Figuerao Junior, shows his interest in the Fashion Show by commenting, “I’ve always liked wearing clothes and when I go around school, I like looking fashionable. When I got the opportunity to join the Fashion Show I took it.”
In between the sets the Marching Band would play songs for the audience to enjoy during the intermission at the end of each set.
The Fresno High Marching Band acquired all the clothes displayed in the Fashion show from the Fresno High Warrior Rack, and their two sponsors The Black Tie and La Tienda Guild.
Fresno High Art Teacher Mr. Isaak was at the Fashion Show and said, “I think it’s cool they’re using the Warrior Rack, and it's funny seeing clothes I’ve donated up on stage. But I am glad.” He also mentioned that next year he will try to donate clothes around the time the Fashion Show is going to happen so he can see his clothes up on stage again.
