Warriors Got Talent
by Sonny Mora
On April 25, 2024, the Fresno High Talent Show returned. It was held after school at 6 o'clock in Royce Halle. There was a $2 entrance fee that went to the Native American Student Club and Latino Student Union to help them rise. There were 10 Acts, some of which included: Orchestral Quartet featuring Myah Hernandez, Juanjose Lopez, John Aldrete, and Mrs. Beverly Moorehead, vocalist Robin Knife, a band featuring Elinor Larson, Lily Adolph, and Ingrid Tallman, and instrumental duo of Mrs. Moorehead and Salote Kuma, guitarist Rey Montano, and more.
There was a Band, and the other was a duet of a Violin and Piano Play and lots of singles and Duets. All of them played well and there was a decent audience. It did not last for long and surprisingly not lots of people joined.
At the end of all of it, a QR code to vote for your favorite act was shown.
Third place went Rey Montano. Second place was awarded to Salote Kuma and Mrs. Moorehead. The winners were the rock band, which featured Elinor Larson, Lily Adolf, and Ingrid Tallman.
Senior Sunset Farewell
by Ian Owdom Editor-in-Chief
On May 29, the Fresno High seniors checked out, leaving a gaping rift in our Fresno High School community. Two hours later, in Warrior Park, co-sponsors Ms. Mianne Sciacqua and Ms. Michelle Kosmosky, threw a Senior Sunset. Seniors could be seen laying out blankets and admiring the sky. The event featured games such as cornhole, chalk drawing, and face paint. Along with food trucks featuring Agua fresca, boba, shaved ice, authentic Mexican food, popcorn, funnel cakes, cotton candy and tornado potatoes on a stick.
When it came time for the Senior photo, all the seniors crowded in front of Royce Hall using a small drone. This allowed everyone to be caught in the photo despite the amount of people. The event ended right after sunset, which took place at 8:11 pm. That is when food services began to pack up and the sun began to truly set. As the sun went down on the seniors’ final day, the Class of 2024 offered some wisdom from our experienced peers. “Work hard, trap harder,” offered Kayne Kraschel. “I love all my friends and I will miss them very much,” said Julissa Lopez.
