On October 4, 2024, the all-purpose track at McLane High hosted the annual Fresno High School Homecoming celebrations once again. This year's theme revolved around a favorite topic among young children: Video Games. Themed groups marched down the track, presenting a brief skit or performance.
Kicking off with the freshman class, they chose a Batman-themed float, showcasing characters like Cat Woman, Bane, The Joker, Harley Quinn, Robin, and various versions of Batman inspired by the Injustice series. Next, the sophomores zoomed by with a Mario Kart inspired float, featuring characters like Princess Peach and Rosalina. Following them, the juniors glided past with a Subway Surfers entry, depicting a graffiti artist narrowly escaping from the authorities. Finally, the seniors showcased their moves from the popular game Just Dance, starting with an “okay” performance and ultimately perfecting it to “PERFECT.”
Freshman Yazmin Zinza expressed, “It felt awesome going out there and seeing the smiles we received.”
