Fresno High brings back the Tailgate

By Corina Lopez

Fresno High was super excited to host the returning tradition of the Pig Game Tailgate on November 1, 2024. The event included free food for all participants, lawn games, and the collecting of spirit gear like pig shaped balloons and pig hats. Fresno High students met at 5pm for fun in Warrior Park but officially started their walkover to Ratcliffe Stadium at 6pm.

As the Warrior Marching Band and Color Guard led the way, they were followed by cheerleaders, leadership, JROTC, and any other students who wanted to walk. ASB Treasurer Mannat Binning said, “It felt like we were in some high school movie. I hope we can do it every year from now on.”

Everyone is super ecstatic and is hoping for this tradition to stay for good.

And the winners are…

For this year's presidential election, the results came in strong. As always, the election consisted of the two parties republican and democratic teams. The two candidates most popular were Former President of the United States Donald J. Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris.

This election has been quite controversial, controversial due to the gender split and their differences in wanting to bring things to the country. The state votes for the democratic team consist of Washington, Oregon, California, Colorado, New Mexico, Minnesota, Illinois, New York, Virginia and Maine. The Republican Party won totaled with the winning votes of 32 other states. The electoral votes for Kamala Harris stood at two hundred and twenty-six while Donald Trump won with three hundred and twelve electoral votes.

The US senate was decided by the win of Democratic winner Elizabeth Warren with 59.6% versus her opponent John Deaton coming in at 40.4%.
