A Tangled Night of Fun

On January 27, 2024, the Fresno High Senate hosted the 2024 Winter Formal at the Star Palace Ballroom in downtown Fresno. Ticket presales took place from January 16 to January 19 for $20 and sales took place from January 22 to January 26 for $25.

Formal was from 7pm to 10pm, doors closing at 8pm. The theme was A Night under the Lanterns, and the tables were decorated with paper lanterns from Disney’s movie, Tangled. Fresno High Senate sold 211 tickets, almost maxing out at 230. According to Sydney Maroot, the president of Senate, all her “hard work paid off.”

Fresno High students broke out their finest dresses and suits and hit the dance floor. Seniors were nominated for Winter Formal Royalty and voting occurred at the event. The winners were Emily Sanchez and Simon Isaak Baca. The dance also included free snacks and water. Alec Reyes, a senior at Fresno High exclaimed, “Party! Party! Party!” And Elena Harris said, “Party rockin in the house tonight!”
