Final Blog: Farewell to Fresno high

I Remember when I first came to high school, I thought it would be the hardest thing, but it was easy if you did the work. I thought four years would go by slowly, but it has been fast. I think... dang, freshman year was a long time ago!

I'm glad I came to Fresno High; it's been fun. I’ve made new friends and met my girlfriend. I've had good and bad experiences here, but I'm glad I'm a Warrior. A special thanks to the former principal, Ms. Linda Laettner.

Blog 1: The Washington Commanders

The Washinton Commanders have been my favorite team for as long as I remember. Ever since I was two. My dad was a Washinton Commanders fan as well as my grandpa. They used to be named the Redskins, but they had to change it because it wasn’t politically correct, which I think is kind of dumb.

I love and hate this team. Recently, we lost to the worst team in the league on 10/6, and I was so angry. I blame the Commanders General Manger for hiring such incompetent coaches. I really hope we at least make it to the playoffs; we haven't made it to the playoffs since 2020 and we haven't won the Superbowl since 1992.

Sam Howell is our quarterback; it's his very first season and, so far, it has been good. It's just our defense that needs to improve.

The Washington Commanders won the NFL Championships in 1937 and 1942 and we won three Super Bowls in 1983, 1988 and 1992.

I really hope we at least make it to the playoffs this season, at least the second round in the playoffs. I don’t think we’ll make it to the Super Bowl at all; we need a better defense and a better defensive coordinator.

Blog 1: BMX Bike

Since 2020, I had an interest I wanted to try out. I wanted to get a bike and I would mostly use it to go to my friends' houses and to get places faster. At the start of 2021, I had a mountain bike, and it wasn’t the best, but I was fine and happy with it. But then it broke, so I didn’t have a bike. I was bored at home playing video games. But just a week before my birthday, my parents bought me a Mongoose BMX bike.

I was so happy. I rode it everywhere I went; I would even ride it at nighttime, at like midnight. I would even ride it sometimes at two or three in the morning because I felt at peace. I would Just ride my bike in the cool breeze, listening to music. It felt like all my problems would just go away. But two weeks before my birthday in July of 2022, someone stole my BMX bike from my front yard at three in the morning. I was so mad and just disappointed in myself because I didn’t lock the gate, and I had left it outside.

I saved up some money and got a bike from Offer Up, but the bike doesn’t work properly, so I don’t ride it anymore. But when I get a job, I’m going to save up some money for this elite BMX bike that I really want. It costs $350, but closer to $400 because of the tax.

  BLOG 2: MY DOG

We first got my dog Cailey, in 2013 for my sister Hailey. My mom and dad got to Cailey in the mountains. They paid $300 for her. I was seven years old then and got attached to my dog because it was my first dog ever, and I love animals. She was my sisters’ dog, but my sister Hailey gave Cailey to me because she could see I loved her. There was this main part I really loved about my dog. My dog was born with two different colored eyes, one blue and one brown.

Everything was fine with Cailey, she was a healthy, loving dog. But something tragic happened on one Christmas Eve. My family and I went to Christmas Tree Lane like we would go mostly every year. I was 7 or 8 at the time, and after we were done, we headed home. When we were pulling up to the house, we saw three men leaving our side gate that leads to the backyard. When we went towards the backyard that leads to the backdoor into the house, we saw our dog laying there stabbed with a screwdriver. She was stabbed three times in the neck and one time in the forehead. I was lying there with her in tears waiting till the police showed up.

When they showed up, there were a couple of police officers and an ambulance. They then took Cailey to the vet, and they saved her. She just had to take some pills to help with her wounds. Afterwards there was a news article about what all happened. They called Cailey the dog who saved Christmas. She’s still alive to this day, but she was traumatized by what happened to her. She always barks at everyone that comes by the house and she will sometimes chase them.
