No Bacon for FHS
by Vanessa Flores
The continuing rivalry of Roosevelt and Fresno High has been going on for 94 years. On October 28, Fresno High attempted to win back the prized Pig Trophy, Pancho the Pig. Sadly, this year’s endeavor ended unsuccessfully. The Rough Riders kept the trophy for the past five years.
During the first half of the game, number 22, Damareea Farris scored a touchdown, but sadly, it was the only one for the Warriors. Players fought hard, and number 1 Antonio Sanchez was injured during the first half and was removed from play.
The Little Big Game was also Senior Night for football, cheer and band. The celebration for these students helped lessen the blow of not bringing home the prize.
Horror-torium Cheap Thrills
by Maya Tafolla Gonzalez
The Fresno High Horrortorium was put together by the advanced theatre class with the help of the drama club and the guidance of Ms. Pullinger. This project was worked on in the auditorium which took about a week and a half to prepare, it was done to help fundraise the drama club and entertain the students on campus. This experience, similar to a haunted house, has been done for years at Fresno High, this year it took place on Monday and Tuesday October 30 and 31 during lunch with the theme of “The Salem Witch Trials Meets Distorted Candy Land.”
Students entered through the north entrance of Royce call by the cafeteria where they paid 2 dollars at the entrance. After you paid and got a ticket, a tour guide walked you through the stage and underneath. The whole experience was extremely dark and as you walked through you could hear loud screams from all around. There were areas where actors acted out different scenes that gave you the chills as you walked by. You had to watch your step on the stairs while getting jump scared every once in a turning corner. After the tour you would leave the darkness through the far exit of the cafeteria, with enough time to continue on with the rest of your lunch.

Recapping the 94th Annual Little Big Game Rally at Fresno High
On October 27, 2023, Fresno High held its 94th annual Little Big Pig Game against Roosevelt High School. As is tradition, a spirited rally was held before the big game to get everyone excited. Here's a rundown of the festivities:
The JV Cheer team kicked off the rally with a performance that included some impressive stunts, setting the tone for the event.
Folklorico followed up with a stunning routine, complete with beautiful headpieces and costumes that captivated the audience.
A game between the staff and students ensued, where teachers and students joined hands to make their way through a hula hoop, fill a balloon with air, and knock down a row of cups. The staff emerged victorious in this closely contested affair.
The seniors on the football and cheer teams were recognized and appreciated for their contributions.
A fun game with the football players was next on the schedule, with the winner being the first person to touch a "pig" after calling out "Head, Shoulders, Knees, PIG!" ASB members were dressed up as pigs to add to the spirit of the event.
To conclude the Little Big Game rally, Varsity Cheer gave an energetic performance that left everyone pumped up and ready for the big game.
