Girls Volleyball

Fresno High School girls’ volleyball team practiced every weekday after school at the Fresno High School gym from 3:45 – 5pm. The team consisted of three groups: Frosh, Junior Varsity and Varsity. They played two games every week on Tuesday and Thursday. The last home game and the Senior Night was on October 19 on a Thursday against Roosevelt High School.  

The varsity team won many games this season. "The hard work you put in, will pay off,” said junior, Alysia Gonzales on the varsity team. Some of the games that varsity won were Fresno vs McLane High School 3-0 and Fresno vs Torres High School 3-1. Frosh and Junior Varsity had won games of their own too. Fresno Frosh team vs Sunnyside High School Frosh team 3-2.  Fresno Junior Varsity vs Madera South Junior Varsity 3-2.  

“Just play your games,” Senior Varsity Captain Maria Andrade said.
