MCA Goes Virtual

by Matt Marquez

The Multicultural Assembly went virtual this year. Taking the organizational lead was Mrs. Melissa Bangerter, better known as Mama B. Warrior Media stepped up and filmed the acts over multiple days and then edited the program into a cohesive event. Fresno High students were able to enjoy the video performance upon its release on February 14, 2022. The assembly was not able to have any attendees because of the COVID protocols.

There were four acts: Folklorico, Hmong dancers, Ulysses Manriquez who sang a song and danced in tribute to his dad, and finally BSU (Black Student Union) who presented spoken word poetry.

Hopefully, next year the COVID protocols will be less strict so that there can be more performances and people in attendance.
