Walk-Out

It all started when…

Fresno High students learned of the social media defamation of Black students at Bullard High School. The photo in question shows a white student wearing something on his head that resembles the hoods worn by the KKK. It was taken in the Bullard High School weight room.

BSU and other civic minded clubs and students at FHS flew into action, creating signs and a protest to show support for their fellow students.

The Walk-Out occurred at 2:30 pm on May 6, 2022. The students did their best to protest silently with signs while fellow Warriors finished testing inside Royce Hall. Once Principal Laettner gave the okay, more vocal protests and chants began.

Students were respectful and civic minded, showing the city and local community true Warrior pride with the message that we need to all use our voice when we see injustice.
