Biggie Smalls
When I first heard about Biggie Smalls I was in middle school. I came across the movie on demand. I was bored, scrolling through channels. I watched the film and realized the director wanted to make a film that celebrated musician’s life rather than focus on all the east coast west coast beef and legend’s inevitable death.
I later did research on Biggie to find out more about him. After watching the movie, I knew he was famous, but I didn’t quite know how famous he was. Then later in quarantine in 2020 I started to listen to him more. I even found out why he and the west coast had issues.
I would listen to all his music I could find. I rewatched the movie a lot of times. I even bought posters of him and some of his album covers. There was a picture of him smoking a cigar that I bought, and more posters I have of him with other rappers too
When we came back to school, I stopped listening to him, but then I heard his music again. I continue to find a lot of songs that he made that I have never seen, or even heard of. There is this one song he made called “The Microphone Murdered” ... that is one of my favorites, but it not an official song.
