Beautify Fresno Club

by Matt Marquez

Beautify Fresno Club is a club that helps to improve the Fresno High campus and community neighborhood. It just got up and running, and currently, there are only five members in the organization: Joel Perez (club president), Efrain Ramiro Jr, Emily Epperly, Emily Mendiola, and Tomas Pena. The club advisor is Ms. Anthony. They meet on Tuesdays at lunch in S60. Their goal is simple: clean up Fresno. This can be as simple as throwing away your trash after lunch or throwing away a piece of trash that isn’t yours.

Members also want to inspire others to participate in the effort to make the FHS environment an unsullied and welcoming environment. The five members enjoy this process and take pride in the fact they are making the world a better place.  They clean up the world, bond, and then go get pizza.

The President is Joel Perez who is highly active in Fresno High culture as a member of Senate, Trading Card Club, and Chess Club. He tries to attend as many extracurricular activities as he can, including various sports. And still he wanted to make time to help clean up the local environment.

So, if you would like to  make Fresno High a better place, you should seriously consider checking out Beautify Fresno Club Tuesdays at lunch in S60.
