Bad Bunny

When I was told that Bad Bunny was going to go on tour, I automatically asked my sister if we could go. The tickets were selling out so fast and we had to wait for three hours on Ticketmaster before we could begin choosing our seats. We were able to get seats at a show in San Jose on March 4.

The Friday of the concert my sister and I left for San Jose at around 10am and got there at around 2:30 pm. We arrived at the hotel and began to get ready, doing our hair and makeup. Doors opened at 7 but we left the hotel at around 5 to get in line and get in quicker. It was very cold, but it was worth it.

Being in the SAP center after the year of covid and not knowing for sure if we would be able to see Bad Bunny live, it was so surreal. When we got in, we went to the merch line since we had two hours until he would start the concert.

He started exactly at 9 and when he started it was so amazing, he had an exceptional performance! The crowd was very energetic, and you could tell that everyone there was so happy and excited to see him. Then there was some silence and all you could hear was the crowd yelling, it was so loud you could not hear anything else. I had so much fun, and I am so happy that I was able to see Bad Bunny live.

My Trip to Mexico

Over the break I had the joy of going to Mexico and visiting my dad and family. I left for Mexico January 2nd and came back January 19th. The first day I got there I was super excited to be there and to be able to spend time with all my family. My family threw a little welcoming party for me and my sister when we got there.

For a week and a half, we were in El Suchil GRO which is our little town. In El Suchil I got to ride a horse and see all my uncles' farm animals. I also went to the fields where my dad grows bananas and coconuts. I visited all my mom's uncles and the rest of her family. I ate delicious foods like enchiladas, platanos fritos con lechera, aporreadillo, picadillas, and so much more.

For the other week we were in Ixtapa Zihuatanejo which is a very touristic city. One of my aunts lives there and while there I went to the beach three times! The water there is very warm, and you can get in without being cold.

I loved being in Mexico and spending time with the people I love but it was also a little hard because I missed my home, mom, and boyfriend. Being away for that long was super hard because I depend a lot on my boyfriend, and I just wanted to come home already.

Now that I am back, I am having a bit of a hard time getting back into the routine of school and cheer. While I was in Mexico I got behind on a lot of assignments and now I need to catch up, but I do not regret going to Mexico. I enjoyed my trip and loved being in my town with my family.

Daisy Delight's

Hello! My name is Daisy. I love baking and have been doing it for almost a year now. I began baking because it was a way for me to distract myself during this whole pandemic. At first, baking was just something to do for fun, but then I began doing it more professionally and started selling my cakes. I enjoyed trying out my own recipes and changing things to my liking. To me, baking is like an experiment. You can easily add or take away any ingredient to make it unique to you. Baking is also known as art, and a way to express yourself like any other form of art. Not only that, but it was a great way for me to feel closer to my great grandma, who has passed away. When I was younger and would go visit her in Mexico, we always had so much fun baking together. I am excited to share with you all one of our favorite recipes.

Ingredients needed:

  • ¾ cup vegetable oil or melted butter

  • ¾ cup sugar

  • 1 ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 3 eggs

  • ¾ cup flour

  • ¼ cup + 2 ½ teaspoon cup cocoa powder

  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

To begin, preheat your oven to 350°

Then in a large bowl mix together the oil, sugar, and vanilla extract. Add the eggs and mix until well combines.

In another bowl mix the flour, salt, baking powder, and cocoa powder. Slowly add the egg mixture to the flour mixture.

Lastly, pour the batter in a pan lined with parchment paper and bake for 25-30 minutes.
