Favoritism Blog
In many places favoritism is very important to some people. Some people believe if they find a place in their superior's heart, they can be more accessible to things they want whether that be in the workplace, military or classes.
To me this topic is important because I’ve noticed it many times in my life. Personally, I don’t think it’s right.
Here at school, we watch it with the CA’s. I never saw it until I realized I was one of those kids. I was wearing a spaghetti strap top, and my favorite CA dress coded the girl behind me for wearing something similar and greeted me kindly. That was then that I realized favoritism is very real.
In my military class, I have also noticed people getting promotions for no reason other than merely being close to their superiors. I've seen cadets that do not receive promotions in rank but are actively involved in every event, versus a cadet that has done very little and receives first pick at opportunities for competitions and chances. The recognition went to others but not those who deserved it.
I find this topic to be very important and stays constant in many people's day-to-day life.
