Fresno High Warrior Soccer NYL Champs

by Daniel Pursell

Fresno High School Girls Soccer had a great season, winning 6 out of their 7 league games and they tied their last game Fresno had an overall record of 14-3-2. Coming with their 6-0-1 record in the league they had punched their ticket into the playoffs where they had to face off against Washington Union High School where they won that game with a score of 4-0. With Fresno winning that game they must play against Yosemite. Both teams played great, but with a 0-0 score at the end of regulation they were forced into penalty kicks which did not end well for our Warriors losing in penalties 3-1.

It was a great season with a wonderful group of girls, who won league and made it past first round playoffs after a very long time in school history and with that I’d say we’re Goats!

My favorite season in all my 4 years of high school ball and I’m never living it down.
