Warriors Go Disney

by Mariah Andersen-Price

During the week leading up to the Homecoming Game and the much-anticipated senior Royalty announcement, “Warriors Go Disney!” Each of the days September 19-23 had a different theme. Monday was also Senior Sunrise, so Leadership made the theme Sleeping Beauty Day, or Pajama Day. Tuesday’s theme was Dynamic Duos, (think Sully and Mike Wazowski, or Remy and Linguine for some examples.) Wednesday was Mickey ears and Disney T-shirts. Thursday was Dress as Your Favorite Character Day. And Friday, as always, was Spirit Day!

Warriors Spirit

Did you know Fresno High is full of spirits? Probably not in the way you were thinking. Instead, students flocked to the purple and gold tents this Friday during lunch in Warrior Park to show their support for our school’s football team by painting purple and gold masterpieces onto their faces.

This fun activity was set up by Leadership and was do-it-yourself or have-your-friend-do-it-for-you. As time ticked by, Warrior Park became crowded with fans. The Fresno High football team was surely encouraged by the sea of violet and gold at the September 23rd Homecoming Game against Hoover High School. “The face painting was cool,” Fernando Barrera, one of the many Warriors supporters said. “I liked the activity,” and, “it was fun.”
