My Swimming Story
I would not want to drown. You probably wouldn’t want too either. I would recommend learning to swim.
So, I love swimming obviously. It’s so fun, like imagine hopping in a pool and just swimming back and forth with goggles, a speedo… or maybe shorts, if you are normal. Just kidding, I would not recommend swimming back and forth if you aren’t as passionate as me because it feels horrible, but it’s fun.
I learned to swim when I was like 4 or 5 and I’ve been swimming ever since. I’m being so serious about this; some of my most vivid memories of when I was younger were being in a pool learning to swim and having fun with my friends and kids in the apartments, I used to live in.
But yeah, I love it because now when I’m with someone in a pool I’m like, “Hey lets race!”, and I obviously know I’m going to win.
Swimming is very healthy too, you burn a ton of calories, in a 30-minute workout of swimming you burn an average of 340 calories. It also helps with building muscle, reduces stress, improves mental health, increases lung capacity. I can vouch for this as in my personal experience I have felt better mentally and physically, like now that I swim like every day, I’ve gotten way stronger, I’ve lost weight, and I am WAYY DARKER than ever before.
Swimming is very important to me because it has been a core part of my life and has helped me feel way better about myself and its really fun.
Anyways if you want to lose weight, get stronger, feel better physically and mentally, and get darker… I would recommend joining the water polo team now, or the swim team during winter.
